Members: Marty Balin, Paul Kantner, Jorma Kaukonen, Jack Casady, Skip Spence, Spencer Dryden (1966), and Grace Slick (1966).
Jefferson Airplane is forever associated with the psychedelic genre, and was a trademark for the hippie movement in San Francisco during the late sixties. They performed at Berkeley Folk Festival, Monterey, Woodstock, and Altamont.
Their greatest hits were Somebody to Love (#5 in U.S.) and White Rabbit (#8 in U.S.) |
