King of Buskers |
 |
In Europe, Don Partridge had two big hits with 'Rosie' and 'Blue Eyes'. He was commonly known as the one-man band or king-of-buskers. Many of us saw him in the summer streets of our home town during the sixties. But after several really good singles with 'hit-feeling' came... nothing.
In fact, more than 34 years passed and Don did what most famous musicians wouldn't even dream of. He went back on the road, singing for nickles and dimes (or was that Pounds, Kronor and Marks?) and selling books of poetry.
But now, finally, he is back with a new album of own material, mostly describing his life as a street musician. And what a album! Don't miss this glimpse into the life of this remarkable man! (How to get the best deal on this CD: ).
